World Rally Championship Alghero
Alghero hosts “Rally Sardinia 2020 WRC” which is round eight of the
World Rally Championship (WRC), to be held from the 4 to the 7 of June 2020.
The rally moved to the Mediterranean island of Sardinia in 2004 and to Alghero in 2014. The roads, towns and cities of the attractive island of Sardinia make a perfect backdrop for the excitement, thrills and spills of the rally. And Alghero comes alive hosting the “park ferme” and mechanics garages for all the teams. It’s a very exciting spectacle to see the mechanics working on the cars under strict time pressures after a hard days driving in tough terrain.
The rally makes a spectacular attraction for visitors to this friendly and welcoming island, one that is sure to test some of the world’s greatest drivers to the highest levels.
The World Rally Championship (WRC) is one of the premier motor-sport series in the world, and takes place in various countries (Kenya, Japan, New Zealand and Monte-Carlo) throughout the 2020 season.
